Ryan Zapalac is a native Texan and the eldest of five siblings, having played the role of a family mediator or diplomat from an early age. Ryan is adept at reconciling issues and transforming chaotic situations into manageable challenges with clear, actionable plans for resolution. This role mirrors his aspirations in the legal profession, where he aims to be a source of calm and guidance for clients, trying as much as possible to help achieve client goals in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.
Ryan’s personal experiences with family estate matters have profoundly influenced his professional approach in all legal fields: an ounce of prevention is really worth a pound of cure. He has witnessed firsthand the complications that arise from a lack of proper estate planning, as seen in the case of his uncle who passed away suddenly without a will or any estate plan, and has seen countless times how hasty decisions in leasing situations lead to disaster for tenants and landlords alike. This has led Ryan to emphasize the importance of proactive planning and professional consultation to determine, in the most cost-effective way possible, how to prevent further legal injury and best achieve your goals.
Reviews of Ryan by former clients highlight his efficiency, genuine concern for his clients, and his candor. As there are not many lawyers in Texas who work with tenants (as you may have found out yourself if you are visiting our site), he is proud to offer honest and helpful advice and insight to tenants who are often frustrated that they cannot get decent information anywhere or even find an attorney to speak with. By focusing on remote consultations, negotiation, and conflict avoidance, Ryan is able to assist tenants and other clients all throughout Texas.
Ryan is from Houston, Texas and graduated in 2010 from St. Thomas High School, thereafter receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. He received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has been licensed to practice law since 2017. In addition to English, Ryan is fluent in Russian and Spanish, conversational in German and French, and is currently learning Japanese (at this point, why not?). In his free time he enjoys travelling, reading and adding to his library, hiking, and playing card games with friends and family. Ryan previously served as the President and CEO of the Russian Speaking Chamber of Commerce in Austin, Texas.
